This Saturday at Texas Motor Speedway, #09-Kenny Wallace will make his 520th NASCAR Nationwide Series career-start. After the green flag flies in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge, Wallace will set the record for most NASCAR Nationwide Series starts by any driver and secure a lasting spot in Nationwide Series history. Wallace, who made his 519th start at Charlotte Motor Speedway, tied Jason Keller for most NNS starts. The two drivers have surprisingly similar NNS records, both with an average finishing position of 16.7. Wallace will surpass his friend this weekend and accomplish something he never thought possible. Of the record Wallace says, “When I was a little kid growing up in Arnold, Missouri, if you would have told me that I would be able to race in NASCAR my whole life, I would have considered that wishful thinking and a dream. Therefore; my 520th NASCAR Nationwide start will be a dream come true”.(RAB Racing)(11-1-2011)
