Cole Whitt will attempt to make his first start in the Sprint Cup Series at Phoenix International Raceway. He is entered to drive the #84 Red Bull Racing Toyota in this weekend’s Kobalt Tools 500 at PIR. Whitt currently sits ninth in the Camping World Truck Series point standings. He has two previous starts at Phoenix; Truck Series started 9th and finished 6th (2011), and in the Nationwide Series, started 23rd, finished 15th (2010).
