Leffler heads to Indiana for Sprint car events:

With the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series idle for a third straight weekend, Jason Leffler will travel to Indiana where he will get behind the wheel of his newly-purchased Sprint Car for the first time. Leffler, who purchased the car from NASCAR Sprint Cup Series regular Kasey Kahne, will race at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville Saturday and Kokomo Speedway Sunday. “I think for a racecar driver, you need to stay racing — because that’s what you do for a living,” said Leffler, who grew up racing open-wheel cars at dirt tracks in his home state of California. “With the schedule I have this year in the Camping World Truck Series, sometimes I will go weeks without racing. When that happens, I feel like I lose a little bit of the edge. Running my sprint car is a great way to keep my mind and body fresh for when I get back behind the wheel of the Dollar General Tundra.” [More information is posted on the Jayski Appearances page.](KBM PR)(5-7-2012)
