  • MAKE Motorsports to honor 156th Airlift Squadron: T.J. Bell and the #50 Gulfcoast Loss Prevention Chevry prepare to honor the 156th Airlift Squadron for the Subway Jalapeno 250 night race at Daytona International Speedway. The #50 will honor those that were killed or injured in a recent incident in South Dakota. The #50 Chevy will sport the 156th Airlift Squadron Emblem on the hood of the Impala. This is in honor of the North Carolina Air National Guard C-130 that went down while helping with the wild fires in the west. Four airmen died and two others were seriously injured when a Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System (MAFFS) equipped C-130 belonging to the 145th Airlift Wing, North Carolina Air National Guard, based out of Charlotte, North Carolina, crashed Sunday evening while fighting a woodland fire in Southwestern South Dakota. Dead are Lt. Col. Paul K. Mikeal , 42, of Mooresville, N.C.; Maj. Joseph M. McCormick, 36, of Belmont, N.C.; Maj. Ryan S. David, 35, of Boone, N.C.; Senior Master Sgt. Robert S. Cannon, 50, of Charlotte. Mark Beaver was a member of the North Carolina Air National Guard in the 1980’s and is also a Co-Owner of MAKE Motorsports.(MAKE Motorsports)(7-6-2012)
