Iowa announces 2013 race dates; May NNS Race moves: The 2013 Iowa Speedway schedule of events will highlight six major weekends, including feature racing events on four Saturdays and a Sunday afternoon, and the second annual Iowa Grand Motorcycle Rally on a Friday through Sunday. Date changes for the 2013 season include the first NASCAR Nationwide Series event, which is moving from the third weekend of May to Saturday, June 8, and the second NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race, moving from a mid-September Saturday night to Sunday afternoon, September 8. The Iowa Grand Motorcycle Rally will also change dates, coming to Newton on Friday, May 31 Sunday, June 2 instead of late July. The 2013 Racing Schedule will feature two NASCAR Nationwide Series’ races, two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ races, and a visit from the IZOD IndyCar Series, with over 1,000 laps of high-speed action on tap over a busy four-month racing season.
