After changing teams in 2012, does Kligerman look to stay with Red Horse Racing in 2013? He still has not decided. “You’ve gotta be open to all opportunities,” Kligerman told News/Talk WSB Tuesday. “There [are] a lot of irons in the fire.” Kligerman has run each of his six races with RHR with only sponsorship from Toyota, meaning that team is searching for funding. RHR already has pieced together sponsorship to keep Todd Bodine’s #11 Toyota on the track all season and has space available on Peters’ #17 machine. UPDATE: Kligerman’s time in the Truck Series may be coming to a close. As most people know, he was slated to split the #22 Penske Racing Nationwide Series ride with Brad Keselowski this year, but was only able to race that car three times with two top ten finishes. Kligerman’s effort in the Nationwide Series has apparently caught the eye of an owner in the series which should enable him to make the jump to that series in 2013. He claimed that it is a “big opportunity in NNS. If not, trucks with RHR.” Kligerman wasn’t able to comment on what team nor manufacturer he would be racing for in 2013, but did show optimism for his future.(Rant Sports.com)(10-18-2012)
UPDATE 2: Expect an announcement next week that Parker Kligerman will compete full-time on the Nationwide Series for Kyle Busch Motorsports in 2013. While Kligerman declined to confirm the deal today, he did say he is “excited about my prospects for 2013” and feels he will “have every opportunity to be successful” with his new team. “It’s the right place for me, at the right time.” KBM General Manager Rick Ren was unavailable for comment today.(Godfather Motorsports.com)(11-21-2012)
