Many changes for this team. The team was sold to Brandon Davis who formed Swan Racing. The purchase of Inception Motorsports occurred in October 2012. David Stremme will be the primary driver of the #30 Swan Energy Toyota. Michael Waltrip will drive the car in the Daytona 500. Stremme opted out of the road courses in 2012 but attempted to run all the oval tracks. The team made some big moves, hiring competition director Steve Hmiel and Tony Eury Jr. as the crew chief. The team also has an engine package with Triad Racing Technologies. Swan Energy will be the primary sponsor on the #30 Toyota with the team talking to additional sponsors.
