Super Bowl 47 is set to kick off Sunday in New Orleans and when it comes to the NASCAR community, there are a number of opinions as to whether Baltimore or San Francisco will capture the Lombardi Trophy. “¢ Green Bay Packer fan Matt Kenseth is sticking with the NFC San Francisco 49ers. ‘The Super Bowl could go either way but Ill stick with the NFC and go with the 49ers. I think (Colin) Kaepernick adds another element to the game and hes going to be tough to stop “¦ but man, the Ravens are looking good too. It could be a pretty entertaining game.” “¢ Dale Earnhardt Jr. is disappointed his Washington Redskins are not playing for the Lombardi Trophy, however he believes either Baltimore or San Francisco could emerge victorious. ‘The Ravens seem to be on a course of destiny. Theres a lot of veterans on that team that know what it takes, so going into that game I think theyll be the best prepared team. But, the 49ers have been able to overcome adversity early in games so I expect it to be pretty close. “¢ Chicago Bears fan Danica Patrick says shes stuck when it comes to pulling for the Ravens or 49ers. ‘Bob Parsons (Executive Chairman and Founder of Patricks sponsor Go Daddy.com) is from Baltimore and he obviously wants the Ravens to win so I feel some alliance needing to cheer for Baltimore, but, a really want the 49ers to win so I dont know. I dont really care. If the Bears arent in it I dont really care”. “¢ Sprint Cup Series champ Brad Keselowski gives the nod to the Baltimore Ravens saying their retiring All-Pro Middle Linebacker Ray Lewis tips the balance toward the AFC Champs. ‘Its Ray Lewis “¦ because he brings a level of heart and passion thats unparalleled in what his sport has and I want to be that guy in our sport.” “¢ Nationwide Series driver Travis Pastrana is native of Annapolis Maryland and will be at the game rooting for his Ravens and hopes the emotion doesnt get the best of them. ‘The defense is going to be on fire!” Pastrana joked “¦ ‘Ray (Lewis) has been crying when he comes out “¦ and Im like, dont cry man, and dont tire yourself out before the game! Im pumped.” * No matter which two teams were in the Super Bowl Kevin Harvick was going to the big game as a guest of his sponsor Budweiser. But, theres no secret as to which team hell be rooting for. ‘Ive been a lifelong 49ers fan “¦ I grew up as a kid in Bakersfield, California. It hasnt always been pretty over the last several years but to see them play now will make the day go a lot more exciting. Ill have 49ers gear on for sure. I bought my friend Kasey Kahne a nice, personalized 49ers jersey that he can wear too, so Im holding him to wearing that thing”. Kahne, a Washington State native, is a Seattle Seahawks fans. * Kurt Busch likes the fact that the Harbaugh brothers will be coaching on opposing sidelines, but hes also hoping that whoever wins it will be a lopsided game like the collegiate national championship game played out between Alabama and Notre Dame. ‘It was a blowout. That means a lot of people tuned off college football and I hope theyre waiting for NASCAR and they can tune in NASCAR when it fires up. So, Im hoping for a blowout “¦ people dont like the Super Bowl and they cant wait for the Daytona 500. Thats what Im rooting for. * Kyle Busch is a Denver Broncos fan and hell be at the game Sunday. ‘Whats weird is its two teams that, to me, they dont spark an interest. The Broncos would or the Chicago Bears would or the Patriots would for me but its two almost forgotten teams so its kind of unique that you get those two in the Super Bowl which is cool. Also having the brotherly rivalry (between the two head coaches) going on there I know what thats like, so thats cool. But, if I had to pick one, its a tough one to pick, but I like the niners”. * Joe Gibbs has three Superbowl rings but warns not to take his prediction seriously. The NASCAR team owner said ‘To me, I think its hard to stop San Fransisco right now. Thats a pretty awesome deal theyve got going”¦.but”¦.I wouldnt have thought wed wind up with these two teams in the Superbowl so Im probably not the best guy to talk to. Never go off what the coach says cause coaches, its been proven, they dont know what theyre talking about.( PRNs Garage Pass )
