This is his first pole in ten NASCAR Nationwide Series races. This is his third top-10 start in 2013. Bowman is the third Sunoco Rookie of the Year candidate to win the pole at Texas Motor Speedway. Kyle Busch (2004) and David Ragan (2007) also did it. Kyle Busch (second) posted his fourth top-10 start of 2013 and his 13th in 15 races at Texas Motor Speedway.
