#4-Jeb Burton led the lone practice session at Texas Motor Speedway on Thursday. Originally, teams were to have two sessions, but rain and track drying altered the schedule, giving them just one extended session. Burton topped the charts with a top speed of 180.971 mph. #98-Johnny Sauter was second, followed by: #17-Timothy Peters, #51-Chad Hackenbracht, #88-Matt Crafton, #32-Miguel Paludo, #62-Brendan Gaughan, #77-German Quiroga, #3-Ty Dillon, and #24-Brennan Newberry. 32 trucks are entered for the event, and each truck turned at least one lap during the session. Practice speeds are posted on the Texas Practice page (pdf) .
