#22-Joey Logano won the Coors Light Pole Award for the 44th Annual Pure Michigan 400 with a track qualifying record lap of 35.303 seconds, 203.949 mph. The previous record was 203.241 mph set by Marcos Ambrose in June of 2012. Loganos lap was the ninth-fastest pole-winning lap in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series history. This is the 13th track qualifying record set by the Gen-6 race car in 2013. This is his sixth pole in 170 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races. This is his first pole and 11th top-10 start in 2013. With the pole, Logano is locked into the 2014 Sprint Unlimited . This is his first pole in ten races at Michigan International Speedway. #78-Kurt Busch (second) posted his 10th top-10 start of 2013 and his 10th in 26 races at Michigan International Speedway. #48-Jimmie Johnson (third) posted his 16th top-10 start at Michigan International Speedway.
