Jeb Burton won the Keystone 21 Means 21 Pole Award for the 14th Annual Michigan National Guard 200 with a track qualifying record lap of 38.760 seconds, 185.759 mph. The previous track record was 184.101 mph, set by Joey Coulter in August of 2012. Burtons pole speed was the fourth-fastest pole-winning speed in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series history. This is his fourth pole in 17 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races. This is his fourth pole and 10th top-10 start in 2013. This is his first pole in one races at Michigan International Speedway. Brendan Gaughan (second) posted his seventh top-10 start of 2013 and his second in eight races at Michigan International Speedway.
