I think that this doesnt change anything for us. Were going to race these next two races as hard as we can and try to get ourselves in that Chase and well do whatever that takes. So far today, I feel pretty good in the car. I was a little bit nervous coming here “ not real sure what it was going to be like. Ive never drove hurt before. Ive never been hurt in a race car before, but the first lap out on the track I felt really good and everything has gone well today.” Do you plan to use a backup driver? Truex: ‘We do have a backup driver as of now. Scott Speed will be there to stand in, but after practice honestly I feel really good about “ Im going to say theres a 99 percent chance that I will race the whole race. I felt really good today. We just wanted to have a plan in place just in case because I really wasnt sure what to expect coming here today. Like I said, Ive never been hurt before, never had to drive hurt, never even had a cast on my hand for Gods sake. So far, everything is going well.”(Toyota Racing PR)
