Sam Hornish Jr. won the Coors Light Pole Award for the 2nd Annual Kentucky 300 with a lap of 30.128 seconds, 179.235 mph. This is his fourth pole in 93 NASCAR Nationwide Series races. This is his third pole and 22nd top-10 start in 2013. This is his first pole in four races at Kentucky Speedway. Ryan Blaney(i) (second) posted his second top-10 start of 2013 and his first in three races at Kentucky Speedway. Austin Dillon (third) posted his fourth top-10 start at Kentucky Speedway.
