Mike Harmon in the #84 will be returning to his home track Talladega and will be running a special tribute truck in memory of BJ Parker. BJ Parker died of breast cancer in 2011. MHR wants to bring awareness that men can have breast cancer also. BJ was very special to Mike. BJ Parker is also from Birmingham and he owned the first race car that Mikes father JP Harmon drove in the early 1950s. Both men are in the Talladega Pioneers of Auto Racing museum. BJ was also a race promotor he founded Souther All Stars that Mike won a championship in. He also promoted Midfield Racetrack where Mike ran his first race. BJ also owned and promoted Birmingham International Raceway where Mike had many victories and championships. Mike is also running Talladega Short Track on his truck where they run The BJ Parker Memorial Race. MHR is very excited to be returning to his roots with this tribute truck.(Mike Harmon Racing PR)
