Fox Sports reporter Ray Dunlap posted on his Twitter on Firday evening that Ron Hornaday, Jr. would not finish the season in the #9 Chevy of NTS Motorsports at Homestead-Miami Speedway, adding that Turner Scott Motorsports driver Nelson Piquet, Jr. will be in the truck.(11-8- 2013) UPDATE: Ron Hornaday, Jr. confirmed in an interview during the Phoenix race broadcast that he was informed before the race that he would not be driving for NTS in Homestead. Steve Turner, co-owner of Turner Scott Motorsports, in turn offered Hornaday a ride for the season-finale.(11-8-2013) UPDATE 2: Four-time champion Ron Hornaday is looking for a ride for next season after being told that Friday nights Camping World Truck Series race would be his last with NTS Motorsports. Hornaday said that Steve Turner contacted him and will put him in a Truck for next weeks season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Hornadays run with NTS Motorsports ended after a tire blew and sent him into the wall. He finished 28th. The 55-year-old Hornaday said he was told 10 minutes before the race that Friday would be his last ride with team. ‘We left on good terms’ he said. ‘If you dont want me there I dont want to be there. We shook hands. Well go on.” Hornaday is 11th in the points with nine top-10 finishes in 21 starts.
