Jason Dylan Mitchell, 41, of Doncastle Court, Concord, NC died unexpectedly at his home Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013. He was born Aug. 14, 1972 in Okaloosa County, Fla., to Jerry William and LaVerne Denny Mitchell. He was a graduate from Appalachian State University. He was a sportswriter for NASCAR Racing, had managed a restaurant for Steve Grissom, and had worked for the Wilkes Journal Patriot .( Independent Tribune ).
