It’s a NASCAR-style Mother’s Day celebration when Jana Bowyer waves the flag to start Saturday night’s Sprint Cup race. Clint Bowyer grew up in Emporia, Kansas, and was honored to have his mom picked to help start the 400-mile race. ‘We are a pretty close family so we’ve been ragging on her a little bit,’ Bowyer said. ‘`Don’t drop the flag mom, whatever you do, don’t drop the flag.’ It’s pretty cool.
