Dover Goodyear Tire Notes:

While teams in all three NASCAR series will run the same right-side tire code (D-4440) at Dover this week, those in Sprint Cup will run a different left-side code (D-4556) than those in Nationwide and Camping World Truck . . . in Sprint Cup, this is the same combination of left- and right-side tires that has been run at Dover since 2012 . . . these teams also ran this same tire set-up at Kentucky in 2013 . . . Goodyear held a confirmation test at Dover on May 6-7 . . . Sprint Cup teams/drivers that participated in that test were the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota with Kyle Busch, No. 78 Furniture Row Racing Chevrolet with Martin Truex Jr., and No. 99 Roush Fenway Ford with Carl Edwards . . . Nationwide drivers Ty Dillon and Elliott Sadler, as well as Camping World Truck drivers Ryan Blaney and Darrell Wallace Jr., also took part in the test . . . Dover is unique among NASCAR ovals one mile or less in length, in that inner liners are required in all four tire positions . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.(Goodyear), see full notes, tire codes, trie pressures, set limits and more on the‚ Dover Race Info page – Goodyear section.
