#4-Kevin Harvick won the Coors Light pole for the Quicken Loans 400 Sprint Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway with track record speed of 204.557mph for his 3rd pole of 2014 and 9th of his career. Harvick has won four races from the pole out of eight previous poles. It is the first time since August 2007 that a Chevy was on the pole, by Jeff Gordon.
The track record speed is the 9th fastest ever and the 22nd time the pole speed was over 200mph.
#24-Gordon is on the outside pole followed by #88-Earnhardt Jr., #43-Almirola, #27-Menard, #2-Keselowsi, #48-Johnson, #41-Busch, #22-Logano, #55-Vickers, #1-McMurray and #42-Larson.
#12-Juan Pablo Montoya makes his return to Sprint Cup starting 28th.
