Teams in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will run the same Goodyear tire code on all four tire positions at Sonoma . . . this is the first time teams will be running this code, which came out of a Goodyear test at Sonoma on March 25-26 . . . teams and drivers participating in that test were #9-Marcos Ambrose, #14-Tony Stewart, #18-Kyle Busch, #24-Jeff Gordon and #55-Brian Vickers . . . compared to what was run at Sonoma last year, this tire features a compound change designed to give the cars more grip . . . as on all NASCAR road courses, teams will not run inner liners in their tires at Sonoma.
