Harvick wins Indianapolis pole:

#4-Kevin Harvick won the‚ Coors Light pole‚ for the Crown Royal Presents the John Wayne Walding 400 Sprint Cup Series race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with speed of 188.470mph for his 4th pole of 2014, 2nd at IMS and‚ 10th of his career. Harvick has won four races from the pole out of nine previous poles, including winning this race from the pole in 2003. Harvick set the track record in round 1 of group qualifying at 188.889mph.
#24-Gordon is on the outside pole, followed by #2-Keselowski, #31-Newman, #55-Vickers, #14-Stewart, #41-Busch, #12-Montoya, #22-Logano, #5-Kahne, #48-Johnson and #18-Busch.
Missing the race were: #66-Moffitt, #33-Stremme, #29-Crafton.
#43-Almirola smacked the wall during the first round and went to a backup car and will have to start the race from the rear of the field.
#37-Labonte was 43rd fastest and had no owners provisional to use as the team had no attempts, but will use the past champions provisional.
