#4-Kevin Harvick won the Coors Light pole for the IRWIN Tools Night Race Sprint Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway with track record speed of 131.362mph for his 5th pole of 2014, 1st at Bristol and 11th of his career. Harvick has won four races from the pole out of 10 previous poles.
#24-Gordon is on the outside pole followed by #99-Edwards, #18-Busch, #48-Johnson, #22-Logano, #41-Busch, #16-Biffle, #2-Keselowski, #9-Ambrose, #31-Newman and #5-Kahne.
#42-Larson smacked the outside wall, then slide and hit the inside wall on his lap early in round 1 and did some damage to the right rear and the left front of the car.
#26-Whitt backed into the wall and spun around, doing damage to the rear of the car. #43-Almirola and #13-Mears also make some contact with the wall and did damage to their cars with the #43 going to a backup car.
