While teams in both NASCAR national series in action at Dover this week will run the same right-side tire code, each will run a distinct left-side code . . . in Sprint Cup, this is the same combination of left- and right-side tires that has been run at Dover since 2012 . . . these teams also ran this same tire set-up at Kentucky the past two seasons . . . Goodyear held a confirmation test at Dover on May 6-7 . . . Sprint Cup drivers that participated in that test were Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards and Martin Truex Jr. . . . Dover is unique among NASCAR ovals one mile or less in length, in that inner liners are required in all four tire positions . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire (Goodyear). See more notes, tire codes, tire pressures and set limits on the Dover Race Info page – Goodyear section.
