Clements honoring fan at Kansas:

This weekend, Jeremy Clements will honor the memory of a Spartanburg, SC fan, Wayne Chapman, who passed away earlier this year from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). In August, Jacob Chapman, Wayne’s son, emailed Jeremy Clements Racing, asking for their help in honoring his father and helping to create awareness of ALS. Jeremy and the team were honored to do what they could to pay tribute to not only a fan, but a man who dedicated his life to helping others in the community. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), more commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that attacks nerve cells and pathways in the brain and spinal cord. Each year, more than 5,600 people are diagnosed with ALS, and over 30,000 may currently be affected by ALS. A special blue and white ribbon honoring Wayne Chapman will adorn Clements’ #51 Chevy this weekend for the NASCAR Nationwide Series Kansas Lottery 200.(Jeremy Clements Racing)
