Mooresville, NC businessman Marc Browning has formed Browning Motorsports that will compete in the NASCAR Nationwide Series starting at Homestead in November 2014. The team will field the #26 Chevy Camaro with sponsorship from myfreedomsmokes.com with driver Jake Crumb. Marc Browning will be the crew chief on the #26 at Homestead. Browning, originally from Dundee, MI, owns Browning Automotive which has NAPA Autocare and Collision centers, plus Browning NAPA Truck Centers that is known for repairing and servicing many of the NASCAR team haulers, as one is located in Mooresville. Browning has been in NASCAR for years as a suspension mechanic, car chief, and crew chief in all three series working with drivers Parker Kligerman, Alex Bowman, Landon Cassill, Johnny Sauter, Mike Wallace and more. Browning was most recently at Joe Gibbs Racing on the 18 M&M’s Toyota with Kyle Busch. Browning is slowly putting together a team of select individuals to run the 2015 NASCAR Xfinity Series in which several openings will be filled during the post season shuffle. ‘We have met with several drivers for 2015 but as of today we have not made that decision. I will say that I have no intention of riding around 20th, anything we field will be there to race.’ Browning also has NASCAR K&N opportunities that he is considering but says it would have to make sense.(Browning Motorsports)
