During the last month, Daytona International Speedway (DIS) celebrated major milestones related to the $400 million DAYTONA Rising project as well as focused on key construction activities.
Recent project milestones:
– Florida Hospital became the second Founding Partner of DAYTONA Rising. The organization’s brand will be represented on one of five special entrances called fan injectors. Within this injector, Florida Hospital will have a presence in one of the ‘neighborhoods’ which will encompass retail and dining areas, as well as dozens of video screens to provide fans with non-stop views of on-track action. Beginning in January 2015, Florida Hospital will also become the exclusive healthcare provider of DIS.
– DIS held a topping out ceremony to install the highest piece of steel and celebrate the halfway point in the project. Approximately 90 percent of the total steel planned for the project has been installed to date.
Key ongoing/upcoming construction activities:
– Interior and exterior concrete pours for injectors/entrances
– Continued installation of remaining steel infrastructure
– Installation/testing of vertical transportation
