A group of students from Cedarville University will be getting some national attention at the Detroit Auto Show next week. And they’ll be getting some feedback on their urban concept car from a pair of NASCAR stars. The team of eight was invited to the show by Shell, which is moving its annual Eco-Marathon from Houston to the Motor City. Cedarville engineering students have a long history of success at the event, leading to the invitation to participate in the auto show’s media days Monday and Tuesday. NASCAR’s Brad Keselowski, the 2012 Sprint Cup Champion, and Joey Logano, the 2009 Sprint Cup rookie of the year, are expected to test drive the Cedarville vehicle. The students are hoping the NASCAR drivers will be able to evaluate Urbie’s suspension and overall user friendliness as they continue to tweak the vehicle for the best results. The students will also participate in a question and answer session with the drivers, according to the auto show’s schedule.(Xenia Gazette)(1-12-2015)
