Joe Nemechek will pilot the #87 D.A.B. Constructors, Inc. Chevy in this year’s NASCAR XFINITY Series season for NEMCO Motorsports, commencing with the Alert Today Florida 300 on February 21 at Daytona International Speedway (DIS). Nemechek and the NEMCO Motorsports team are ready to “restart” the year, targeting an even better result than last February at Daytona International Speedway. One year ago, Nemechek started the race with a 24th-place qualifying position, and finished in the 12th position. This week in the season-opener for the NASCAR XFINITY Series, Nemechek, the 1992 NASCAR XFINITY Series champion, returns to the famed superspeedway in a Chevy. NEMCO Motorsports reunited their partnership with Chevy in January. Nemechek has 19 starts at Daytona International Speedway in the NASCAR XFINITY Series with the iconic manufacturer. In 52 combined NASCAR XFINITY Series starts at both Daytona and Talladega Superspeedway, Nemechek has recorded four wins, 11 top-five finishes and 16 top-10s. He has led a total 416 laps on NASCAR’s current restrictor-plate tracks. The 2015 season will mark the 27th season that Nemechek has competed in the NASCAR XFINITY Series. Nemechek wheeled the NEMCO Motorsports #87 in six races in 2014. Steven Gray assumes the role of crew chief for the #87 Chevy Camaro team this year. Nemechek will run a limited NASCAR XFINITY Series schedule in the #87 Chevy along with NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races for NEMCO Motorsports.(NECMO)(2-16-2015)
