NASCAR handed out written warnings to four Sprint Cup Series teams Thursday for issues in technical inspections last weekend at Kentucky Speedway. Teams issued warnings were: #16 Ford driven by Greg Biffle, #13 Chevy driven by Casey Mears, #34 Ford driven by Brett Moffitt, and #33 Chevy driven by Alex Kennedy. The four teams received no formal penalties for their multiple trips through the inspection line, but an accumulation of warnings would result in a P1-level penalty, according to the NASCAR deterrence system that was introduced before the 2014 season.(NASCAR.com)(7-17-2015)
