Front Row Motorsports will pay tribute to 2016 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee Jerry Cook with a throwback paint scheme on David Gilliland’s #38 Ford this weekend at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway. The old-school red scheme will replicate the look of a car run by the six-time NASCAR Modified champion during the 1970s. Cook won championships in 1971 and 1972, and 1974 through 1977. The 72-year-old Rome, New York, native will be inducted into the Hall of Fame with four other members of the Class of 2016 in January. Cook retired from racing in 1982 to become the Modified series’ director. He still works in NASCAR as a competition administrator.(Breaking Limits)see an image of the car on the #38 team paint schemes page(10-28-2015)
