NASCAR announced warnings to four Sprint Cup teams from prerace inspection this past weekend at Talladega Superspeedway, including six-time series champion Jimmie Johnson. The warnings were assessed for the following:
#48 Chevrolet (driver: Jimmie Johnson) for failing the laser inspection station twice.
#9 Ford (driver: Sam Hornish Jr.) for failing templates twice.
#35 Ford (driver: Cole Whitt) for failing templates twice.
#40 Chevrolet (driver: Landon Cassill) for failing templates twice.
Since NASCAR modified its warnings policy in August, a team that accumulates four warnings will lose the chance to pick their pit stall at the next race. (NBC Sports)(10-28-2015)
