Johnson, Wise, Marty Smith run half marathon:

It’s NASCAR’s offseason, but drivers Jimmie Johnson and Josh Wise can’t get enough of racing. Johnson, a six-time series champion; and fellow Sprint Cup driver took part in a half marathon on Saturday in Huntersville, N.C. As would be expected in their stockcar races, Johnson won. He was 12th overall. Johnson set a personal record by completing the 13.1-mile run in 1 hour, 27 minutes. He finished more than two minutes faster than Wise. Also running was [ESPN’s] Marty Smith, who finished in 1 hour, 40 minutes. Wise’s time of 1:30.01 placed him 22nd overall and third in 30-34 age bracket. Smith was 112th overall and 85th among 35-39 year olds.(Sporting News)(12-13-2015)
