NASCAR Sprint Cup and Xfinity Series teams will run the same combination of left- and right-side tires at Phoenix this weekend . . . this is the first time these teams have run either of these two tire codes . . . compared to what was run at Phoenix last season, both left- and right-side tires feature the same constructions with different compounds to give the cars more grip . . . Goodyear held a tire test at Phoenix last October 12-13, which included work on the 2016 rules package . . . drivers participating in that test were A.J. Allmendinger, Kurt Busch, Matt Kenseth and Brad Keselowski . . . as on most NASCAR ovals one mile or less in length, teams will not run liners in their tires at Phoenix.(Goodyear PR), see full notes, tire codes, tire pressures, set limits on the Phoenix Race Info page.
