The field was set according to the rule book with Friday practice determining the lineup. #22-Logano will start second, followed by #48-Johnson, #19-Edwards, #11-Hamlin, #2-Keselowski, #41-Busch, #5-Kahne, #18-Busch, and #47-Allmendinger.
41 cars were entered, #98-Whitt was the only car to not qualify. He failed to qualify by being the slowest open team during Friday practice.
