Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation teams with Brown for Charlotte:

Brandon Brown will have the name of one of NASCAR’s iconic drivers on his Camping World Truck Series ride at Charlotte Motor Speedway later this month. Brown’s team, Fredericksburg-based Brandonbilt Motorsports, announced that the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation will be a sponsor for the #86 Chevy Silverado for the NC Education Lottery 200 on May 20 at CMS. Brown, 22, has driven a full slate so far this season in the CWTS, finishing two of his three starts in the top 15. The Woodbridge native placed a career-best fourth in the season-opening Nextera Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway and followed that up with finishes of 19th and 15th at Atlanta and Martinsville, respectively.Gordon accumulated 93 wins and four championships in a 24-year Sprint Cup career that came to an end after last season. His foundation supports pediatric cancer research, provides equitable access to treatment and patient support programs.Gordon’s foundation was established in 1999 and has granted more than $16.5 million to support children with cancer.(Fredericksburg.com)
