Following the suspension of three Sprint Cup crew chiefs following the Charlotte race, two of the teams have named their replacements:
Ernie Cope will fill in for Randall Burnett as crew chief for the #47 team of A.J. Allmendinger. Burnett is serving a one race suspension.
Stewart-Haas Racing engineer John Klausmeier will serve as crew chief for #41-Kurt Busch while Tony Gibson serves his one race suspension.
However: A Roush Fenway Racing spokesman said Thursday afternoon that the team still was evaluating whether to appeal the two-race suspension of crew chief Brian Pattie after Greg Biffle’s #16 Ford failed postrace inspection from the Coke 600.(NBC Sports)(6-3-2016)
