Chicagoland Speedway announced that fans can purchase the exclusive Jimmie Johnson Family Ticket Package for this year’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 400 race on September 18. This year’s event at Chicagoland Speedway will be the first race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, and Johnson has teamed up with NASA to provide an educational experience for kids with the NASA Rockets 2 Racecars STEM Education program. On race day, kids will learn the inherent similarities between rockets and racecars through STEM activities led by local teachers trained by NASA in the Rockets 2 Racecars curriculum. In addition to these activities, kids will also receive a 12 page activity booklet to explore throughout the remainder of race day. Finally, the ticket package will culminate with a Q&A; session with Johnson who is no stranger to the science of speed lesson that is built into the program. The Jimmie Johnson Family Ticket Package is $48 for adults and $23 for children and is located in Section ‘L’ at Chicagoland Speedway.
