#20-Erik Jones was fastest during opening practice at Daytona International Speedway with a speed of 193.353mph. #18-David Ragan was second, followed by: #3-Ty Dillon, #33-Brandon Jones, #42-Justin Marks, #48-Brennan Poole, #6-Darrell Wallace, Jr., #22-Joey Logano, #7-Justin Allgaier and #98-Aric Almirola. Just 29 drivers were able to complete a lap during the session, which was cut short by lightning near the track.
