#20-Matt Kenseth will have a new member on his pit crew for the next several weeks as longtime front tire changer John Royer is out with an injury. Royer injured his hand last week in practice and was replaced by veteran changer David Mayo at Darlington. Moving forward, Mayo seems to be the logical choice to continue changing ‘ and he’s on the team’s roster for Richmond, according to a Joe Gibbs Racing pre-race advance. Mayo spent time at Team Penske and Hendrick Motorsports before coming to JGR. His previous full-time role was with the #88 team of Dale Earnhardt Jr. Royer is expected to return to the team sometime during the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, according to the team.(PitTalks)
