#33-Brandon Jones was quickest in the only XFINITY practice at Chicagoland Speedway with a speed of 177.912mph. #20-Erik Jones was second, followed by: #19-Daniel Suarez, #18-Kyle Busch, #48-Brennan Poole, #7-Justin Allgaier, #3-Ty Dillon, #88-Clint Bowyer, #42-Kyle Larson, and #11-Blake Koch. 38 drivers practiced during the session. Cars got on track earlier in the day for the first practice session but it was interrupted by rain, so NASCAR had a single practce for teams.
