With just two races left in the 2016 Sprint Cup Series season (and Scott’s racing career), Brian Scott and the #44 team are heading back out west for the final short-track race of the year at Phoenix International Raceway. With its proximity to Idaho, Scott considers Phoenix a homecoming, especially with Safeway, a banner store of Albertsons, and Whitetail adorning the hood of the Ford Fusion, in which Scott has ties to both companies. Scott has two starts in the Cup series at Phoenix, finishing 27th in the spring race. However, one of Scott’s Camping World Truck Series wins came at Phoenix in 2012. In 13 starts in the XFINITY Series, he has five Top-10 finishes, a highest finish of seventh in 2014.
