#48-Jimmie Johnson won the O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway for his 1st win of the season, 7th at Texas, and 81st career win.
He led 16 of the 334 laps, the final 16 laps of the race.
#42-Larson finished second (his 4th second place finish of the year), followed by #22-Logano, pole sitter #4-Harvick, #88-Earnhardt, Jr., #2-Keselowski, #1-McMurray, #78-Truex, Jr., #24-Elliott, and #41-Busch.
#21-Blaney led at the end of the both Stage 1 and Stage 2 and led 148 laps on the day, but got out of pit sequence at the end of stage 2 and never could move back up through the field.
