Michael ‘Adam’ Wright, 33, of Troutman and formerly of Thomasville, passed away Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017.
Adam’s seemingly short life was filled with many, many friends. Many of which he met while doing what he loved, NASCAR racing, and most recently, the Xfinity series.
When he decided to take a break from the travel of racing, Adam started his own business, AWRestorations, creating beautiful wood products from recycled, antique wood sources.
His love for racing lead him back to the sport, joining JRMotorsports. His shop buddies and racing team are among those who will continue to honor his memory and the good times they shared.
He is survived by his Dad, Michael ‘Pete’ Wright [Hendrick Motorosports] and wife, Cindy; his Mom, Terri Webb Byerly and husband, Brandon.
Services to honor and remember the life of Adam will be held Thursday, Aug. 24, at Rich Fork Baptist Church, 3992 Old US Hwy. 29, Thomasville, NC 27360, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Lee Hedrick and Motor Racing Outreach Chaplain, Donnie Floyd, officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Cemetery in Thomasville.
In lieu of flowers, consider a gift to your local Humane Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105, in recognition of Adam’s love of animals and children.
