The demise of Red Horse Racing allowed Timothy Peters to focus on running more Late Model events with his friend and car owner Barry Nelson, becoming a regular competitor for the 2017 Virginia Late Model Triple Crown Series. Peters won his second ValleyStar Credit Union 300 on Saturday night at Martinsville Speedway, the first race run under Martinsville’s new lighting system.
