On Wednesday, Richard Petty Motorsports announced Darrell Wallace Jr. (nicknamed Bubba), will be the full-time driver of their #43 car next season, with sponsorship / manufacturer / alliance announcements to be made at later date. Wallace Jr. will be just the 2nd known black driver in series history to drive a full schedule, joining Wendell Scott, who is also the only black driver with a win, top-5 or top-10 finish.
