FONTANA, Calif.-Reed Sorenson will be back in a Cup car driving for Jay Robinson and Premium Motorsports at some point in the next three weeks, the driver confirmed to The Racing Experts.
When asked when his next Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) race was, Sorenson replied, “Martinsville or Texas would be one of the two.”
Sorenson returned to the Cup Series for the first time in 2018 Sunday at Auto Club Speedway. He finished in the 34th position, seven laps down.
The Georgia-native noted how his team could benefit from more financial backing.
“We’re underdogs in this deal and just like today, we were unable to buy tires all weekend, weren’t able to practice because it cost money,” Sorenson said.
