Andy Lally returning to XFINITY for three races

Atlanta, Ga. (July 24, 2018) – Returning to NASCAR Xfinity Series competition in 2018, multi-time professional sportscar champion Andy Lally will return to the cockpit for three of the upcoming NASCAR Xfinity road course rounds.

Following last year’s top-five at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, his last time behind the wheel of a NASCAR machine, Lally will return to the No. 90 Camaro of DGM Motorsports, donning a brand-new sponsor livery with Henry Repeating Arms for the upcoming Road America round. Henry Repeating Arms is one of the leading firearms manufacturers in the country making rifles and shotguns under their company motto, “Made in America Or Not Made At All.”

“I couldn’t be happier to return to NASCAR competition,” stated Lally. “Mario Gosselin and everyone at DGM Motorsports have been working to find a way to get me back behind the wheel, and thanks to the efforts of Henry Repeating Arms this is finally all possible. I’m excited to get back and feel like we’ve unfinished business after the last two years. The team always does a great job getting the car prepared, and we’re all very focused on getting the most out of the effort.”

Andy Lally returns to the series as one of the most accomplished drivers in the road racing discipline. Beyond winning three championships in assorted IMSA GT categories over the years, the endurance veteran is also a five-time class winner of the famed Rolex 24 at Daytona, with additional victories at the 12 Hours of Sebring, Petit Le Mans, and Six Hours of the Glen. Currently competing full-time in the IMSA WeatherTech GTD category for the wildly popular Magnus Racing, the Long Island native will arrive in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin as someone who likely has more laps at the circuit than anyone in the field.

With the Mario Gosselin-led DGM Motorsports helming the effort, both driver and team will be supported by Henry Repeating Arms for the Road America round, who regard the Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin venue as their home track due to a manufacturing facility in nearby Rice Lake.

“We’re thrilled to be working with the incredibly talented Andy Lally and his team. This combination of guns and gears combines two of my favorite things,” stated Anthony Imperato, President and owner of Henry Repeating Arms. “Our fans have always wanted to see our HENRY livery on a proper NASCAR effort, so we’re looking forward to bringing them just that at our home track in Wisconsin.”

An avid recreational rifle user himself, Lally is grateful for the opportunity and appreciative of their viewpoints on responsible firearms ownership.

“I’m extremely grateful to everyone at Henry Repeating Arms for their support,” stated Lally. “Anthony Imperato and everyone on his team are very clear advocates of responsible gun ownership and gun safety, which is paramount for myself. Beyond that, their line of rifles and shotguns embodies pride in American manufacturing through the attention to detail and build quality, which is a great parallel to what it takes to succeed in any form of motorsport. Hopefully, Road America will be a great showing for all of us, and I encourage everyone to stay tuned to my social media accounts for a really exciting giveaway in celebration of our new sponsor.”

With the first round at Mid Ohio just a few weeks away, both Lally and Henry Repeating Arms will be engaged in a number of giveaways throughout the coming weeks. Henry Repeating Arms will be giving fans a chance to win two of their most popular rifles, the All-Weather .45-70 and the Long Ranger.

Details for entering will be available through Lally’s social media accounts (@andylally on Twitter, @andylallyracing on Instagram) and Instagram (@andylallyracing), as well as Henry Repeating Arms (@HenryRepeating on Facebook, @henry_rifles on Instagram).
