After a successful partnership at Watkins Glen International last weekend Larue Snowblowers decided to remain with Alex Labbe for the next two road course races on the NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule.
Quebec City-based Larue Snowblowers will once again be featured this Saturday on the No. 36 Chevrolet at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.
Labbe and DGM Racing finished 19th on the lead lap last weekend at Watkins Glen and Labbe is ready to improve on that performance this weekend and is happy to have the support of his long-time partner.
“I can’t thank Larue Snowblowers enough for coming on board with us last weekend at Watkins Glen,” said Labbe. “We appreciate everyone there at Larue that believes in what we are trying to accomplish this season at DGM Racing and we want to do our best this weekend to give them a top-10 finish.”
Larue Snowblowers, makers of industrial strength snow blowing equipment used at airports and cities throughout the world in addition to Canada, will also be featured on the car when the Xfinity Series visits Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin on August 25th.
“I can’t wait to get back on the road courses as I have a lot of experience on that type of track from my days in the NASCAR Pinty’s Series,” said Labbe. “While my car owner and crew chief Mario Gosselin and I have a lot of experience together, having the support from Larue will only help us be more competitive at those two races and I can’t wait to get back on the track.”
Labbe will visit Bristol Motor Speedway in between the upcoming road course events and scored his best Xfinity Series finish to date at the high-banked half-mile track in April coming home 11th.
While he’s ready for that challenge, he really wants to give Larue Snowblowers the chance to celebrate his first top-10 finish together.
“Larue has been with me a long time and basically since the start of my racing career back in Quebec years ago,” Labbe added. “I can’t think of a partner I’d rather celebrate the historic achievement of an Xfinity Series top-10 with than Larue and hopefully it’s this weekend in Ohio.”
Labbe currently sits 18th in the Xfinity Series championship points standings and is in contention to win rookie of the year in the NASCAR national series.
