Bristol TV ratings UPDATES

FS1 earned a 1.7 overnight for yesterday’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series @FoodCity 500 Bristol. There is no direct year over year comparison as the 2018 race was postponed until Monday and run on Fox, but it got a 1.5.(Sports Business Journal’s Adam Stern)(4-8-2019)

UPDATE: NASCAR Cup Series racing from Bristol (Tenn.) earned a 1.7 overnight rating on FS1 Sunday afternoon, down 47% from the last time the race was run as scheduled, 2016 on FOX (3.2). Versus the second FS1 race of last season, Texas, overnights increased 1% (1.70 to 1.68). Keep in mind last year’s Texas race aired opposite the final round of the Masters.(Sports Media Watch)(4-9-2019)

UPDATE 2: NASCAR Cup Series racing from Bristol (Tenn.) earned a 1.7 rating and 2.81 million viewers on FS1 last Sunday, down 50% in ratings and 49% in viewership from 2016 on FOX, the last time the race was run as scheduled (3.4, 5.46M). Last year’s race was postponed to Monday and earned 1.96 million viewers. Compared to the second FS1 race of last season, Texas, ratings were flat and viewership fell 1% from 2.82 million. Keep in mind the Texas race aired opposite the final round of the Masters. Outside of the men’s and women’s Final Four, Bristol was the most-watched sporting event of the weekend.(Sports Media Watch)(4-12-2019)
